
Senior Manager, Cybersecurity Incident Response and Business Continuity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct cyber incident command during critical events.
• Deliver clear and accessible updates to senior management, converting technical details into business implications, decisions, and subsequent actions.
• Lead and nurture a small team focused on incident coordination as well as Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
• Own and enhance the incident management strategy, which includes playbooks, escalation procedures, communication schedules, and decision-making frameworks.
• Supervise business continuity planning, conduct business impact assessments, set recovery priorities, and ensure readiness across essential operations.
• Create and facilitate tabletop exercises, simulations, and recovery tests.
• Coordinate response efforts among Security Operations, Information Technology, Legal, Privacy, Communications, Human Resources, and business leadership.
• Conduct post-incident reviews and implement improvements based on lessons learned across people, processes, and technology.
• Provide reports on incidents, program effectiveness, preparedness, and resilience priorities.
• Assist in program planning, staffing, partnerships, tools, and investments within the resiliency function.
• Join an on-call rotation, approximately one week every six weeks.
• Develop a roadmap to enhance readiness, grow the team, and improve disruption response.
• Significant experience in coordinating or leading cybersecurity incidents.
• Proven track record of delivering structured updates to executives in high-pressure or rapidly evolving scenarios.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching, developing talent, and providing clarity within direct and shared teams.
• Ability to articulate complex security issues in a simple, accurate, and calm manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and judgment to prioritize tasks, document decisions, and maintain progress when information is limited.
• Experience in enhancing incident response, crisis management, business continuity, or disaster recovery initiatives.
• Familiarity with established incident response and business continuity standards, including those from the National Institute of Standards and Technology and International Organization for Standardization.
• Working knowledge of cloud services, Software as a Service environments, common cyber threats, and recovery considerations.
• Confidence in collaborating with Legal, Privacy, Communications, Security Operations, and senior business leaders.
• Proactive approach and eagerness to engage from day one.
• Comfortable using collaboration and incident-tracking platforms.
• Familiarity with Slack, LogicGate, or security monitoring tools is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Experience in a technology or Software as a Service organization is preferred, but strong incident leadership from other sectors is equally appreciated.
• Must possess valid authorization to work in the United States.
