
Senior Manager – Corporate Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Act as the Compliance Officer for Aetna's Maryland Medicaid health plan.
• Serve as the primary liaison with the Maryland Medicaid agency regarding compliance and contractual matters.
• Monitor, track, and timely submit necessary regulatory reports and responses.
• Lead the preparation and coordination of state audits, including developing corrective action plans and resolving issues.
• Oversee all elements of the Medicaid compliance program.
• Investigate regulatory requirements and offer recommendations to foster compliant business practices.
• Draft and manage responses to inquiries and requests from state Medicaid agencies.
• Maintain an expert understanding of Medicaid regulations, contracts, and program stipulations.
• Act as a compliance resource for staff, providing guidance, education, and training.
• Sustain compliance tools, risk assessments, reporting systems, and tracking procedures.
• Identify compliance risks, carry out monitoring activities, and suggest corrective actions.
• Assist business teams in crafting solutions to resolve compliance issues.
• Employ compliance management tools, including Microsoft Office and Archer.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Offer guidance and coaching to less experienced team members.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Over 7 years of compliance experience in the healthcare, managed care, insurance, or a related sector.
• Candidates with an advanced degree may be eligible with 5+ years of pertinent experience.
• Experience in project management.
• Familiarity with Medicaid or Medicaid managed care programs.
• Background in supporting audits or regulatory reviews.
• Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Government Affairs, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Master's degree or Juris Doctor (JD) preferred.
