Senior Manager, Consolidations – Technical Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance the intercompany accounting process, which includes elimination entries, intercompany reconciliations, and addressing out-of-balance issues across various entities.

• Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation process utilizing Oracle FCCS/EPM (or a similar consolidation tool), encompassing data loads, translations, and consolidation adjustments.

• Conduct research and prepare technical accounting memos on complex or non-routine transactions, such as revenue recognition, leases, equity, business combinations, and new arrangements.

• Engage in ad hoc projects, process enhancements, and special analyses as needed.

• Support external audit requests related to consolidation and technical accounting areas, including the preparation of supporting documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.

• Identify and aid in the implementation of process improvements and automation opportunities within the consolidation and closing processes.

• Collaborate across departments with FP&A, Revenue Accounting, Treasury, and other Accounting teams to ensure consistent application and resolve cross-entity challenges.

• Keep up-to-date with new and changing GAAP guidance and evaluate its impact on the consolidation process and financial statements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline; CPA designation is preferred.

• Over 5 years of progressive accounting experience, which includes public accounting (audit) and/or technical accounting/consolidation experience in the industry.

• Strong understanding of US GAAP, particularly consolidation principles (ASC 810) and intercompany accounting.

• Experience in researching and drafting technical accounting memos.

• Ability to operate independently on ad hoc, ambiguous, or time-sensitive requests.

• Proficient in Excel; experience with ERP and consolidation systems is a plus (Oracle FCCS/EPM experience preferred but not required).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-accounting stakeholders.
