This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee a team of two or more individuals or managers within the Compliance & Risk division.
• Establish direction and propel the Compliance Operations team to achieve objectives.
• Manage compliance efforts for NERC-registered initiatives.
• Monitor and finalize regulatory submissions for NERC-registered projects.
• Collaborate with the NERC Implementation team during project construction to ensure registration with relevant entities.
• Facilitate meetings with clients, EPC contractors, engineering teams, and other stakeholders.
• Direct workflow for Compliance Analysts and the Compliance Project Team.
• Define team objectives and oversee extensive, long-term projects.
• Make necessary trade-offs regarding resources, scope, and delivery.
• Evaluate work products and progress to guarantee success.
• Organize meetings with external stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Address issues both within and between teams.
• Guide team members and junior managers.
• Set and ensure compliance with budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance standards.
• Develop compensation strategies, career coaching, training, and implement company policies for the team.
• Promote cross-functional team enhancement initiatives and suggest updates to division policies.
• Assist in executing strategic directions within the team.
• Aid business development efforts to help meet company objectives.
• Support regulatory audits and offer guidance to the Compliance & Risk team and clients.
• 2-4 years of management experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in the renewable energy sector in asset management, business management, contract management, compliance, or operational roles.
• 4+ years of experience in NERC Compliance.
• Demonstrated documentation, presentation, and communication skills with teams and senior management, including CEOs and boards of directors.
• University degree (or equivalent) with 6+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's/Graduate degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• A degree in business, management, or a related field is preferred.
• Over 5 years of experience actively managing or supporting a Generator Owner compliance program is preferred.
• Familiarity with photovoltaic system design, wind, or battery storage operations and management is preferred.
• Experience with regulatory audits is preferred.
• Second-level management experience of a large team is preferred.
• Proven success in delivering large cross-functional projects is preferred.
• Experience in process improvement with Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance, including NERC, FERC, or other reporting requirements for operational projects is advantageous.
• Experience in data analysis, reporting, and presentations is a plus.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service abilities.
• Keen attention to detail and capacity to produce high-quality work products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and execute a high volume of ongoing compliance obligations.

• Strong project and people management capabilities.
• Ability to communicate with clients and internal teams on significant issues requiring high-level management intervention.

• Enthusiasm for learning within a growth-oriented renewable energy company is preferred.

• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Additional knowledge of ERCOT, CAISO, other ISO/RTO markets, State Public Utilities Commissions, and IA/PAA operational requirements is desirable.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Skills in training development, process improvement, and coaching/leadership.
• Expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF tools.
