Senior Manager, Compliance Product Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the Compliance data product suite as an individual contributor, steering the strategic direction of products related to Customer Risk Scoring, Transaction Monitoring, AML, Sanctions, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption systems and initiatives.

• Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive Compliance data risk framework, addressing Data Quality, Usage Risk, and Lineage Risk across all compliance data offerings.

• Implement formal data contracts between Producers (Engineering) and Consumers (2LOD Compliance, 1LOD Operations), establishing control requirements and change management protocols as the ultimate authority.

• Collaborate with senior Engineering stakeholders to ensure thorough data lineage, providing complete visibility from data generation to control consumption and regulatory reporting.

• Guide the data roadmap by serving as the strategic link between Compliance subject matter experts and Engineering leadership, ensuring data integrity is a core aspect of technical design rather than an afterthought.

• Establish risk-based prioritization across cross-functional teams, focusing on high-materiality data elements that foster systemic change and clear data ownership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Data Product Management, Data Engineering, or Technical Program Management within regulated Financial Services or FinTech, with extensive knowledge of AML, KYC, Sanctions, and/or Transaction Monitoring.

• Proven ability to lead technical deep-dives into ETL pipelines, SQL, and data modeling with Engineering partners while effectively communicating those needs to non-technical compliance stakeholders.

• Demonstrated experience in mapping complex data flows across distributed systems to comply with regulatory standards (e.g., BCBS 239 or equivalent) and designing compensating controls for residual risk.

• Proficient with cloud-native data environments (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery) and their metadata, lineage, and governance capabilities at scale.

• Utilizes generative AI in a responsible manner, ensuring human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable enhancements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
