This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Influence the way KIPP’s CEO and senior executives convey messages to essential audiences.
• Arrange and provide support for impactful speaking opportunities.
• Create communications for the entire network on behalf of the CEO.
• Cultivate the narratives that effectively communicate KIPP’s priorities into distinct messages.
• Manage and deliver a specified range of non-executive communications for both internal and network audiences.
• Develop and uphold the editorial calendar and review processes to ensure timely communication.
• Collaborate with the head of Media Relations to secure media placements for executive activities.
• 7+ years of substantial experience in communications, including executive communications, speechwriting, or strategic writing for senior leaders in high-stakes situations.
• Proven writing capability across various executive styles — able to create on-message, audience-specific content that feels authentic for each leader.
• Established history of managing intricate communications projects, from editorial calendars to Board-level communications, with keen attention to timing, tone, and precision.
• Solid track record in securing and supporting high-impact speaking engagements, which includes identifying suitable venues, thoroughly preparing executives, and converting activities into earned media.
• Proven ability to transform data, trends, and strategies into engaging narratives, including integrating written content with visuals that enhance the message.
• Strong skills in cross-functional collaboration; adept at gathering information, aligning stakeholders, and producing polished work under tight deadlines.
• Experience in pitching to and interacting with reporters is preferred.
• Experience in K-12 education, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations is preferred.
