Senior Manager, Clinical Trial Finance Management

📋 Description

• Develop, oversee, and monitor clinical trial budgets throughout the entire R&D portfolio.

• Take charge of the Clinical Trial Financial Management Process.

• Identify opportunities for ongoing process enhancements.

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Clinical Trial Financial Management Systems, including Oracle.

• Review and authorize clinical trial contracts and amendments, ensuring that financial terms and conditions are in line with corporate policies.

• Create financial reports and analyses pertaining to clinical trials.

• Conduct monthly accruals for clinical trial contracts, ensuring alignment with budgets and project schedules.

• Prepare and post monthly and quarterly journal entries, along with prepaid journal entries for Clinical Trials.

• Serve as the main point of contact between Finance and R&D teams, promoting collaboration and offering financial guidance.

• Ensure an adequate internal control framework and compliance with internal controls.

• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in Clinical Trial Financial Management is crucial.

• Significant experience in accounting and/or finance-related roles.

• Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is critical.

• Advanced skills in financial modeling and analysis.

• Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant financial systems and software applications.

• Familiarity with Oracle is advantageous.

• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and management reporting.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.

• Strong skills in managing stakeholder relationships.

• High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a results-oriented approach.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is preferred.

• An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
