Senior Manager, Clinical Site Partner – Italy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• The Senior Manager, Clinical Operations Site Partner (CSP) is tasked with delivering leadership and operational expertise in the management of one or more Phase I–III clinical trials throughout the European region.

• Serving as a vital member of the Global Clinical Operations (GCO) team and reporting to the Senior Director of Clinical Operations (Europe), the Senior Manager CSP is instrumental in ensuring operational excellence in the execution of trials and site performance.

• This role acts as the primary operational contact for assigned clinical trial sites, holding full responsibility for the comprehensive lifecycle of studies.

• The position facilitates site selection, enhances site start-up efficiency, accelerates site activation and recruitment, while maintaining superior standards of performance and quality throughout the study lifecycle.

• The Senior Manager CSP serves as a strategic collaborator with sites and study teams, assisting Summit in achieving its vision of becoming the Sponsor of Choice by providing an exceptional experience to our clinical trial sites.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a scientific or medical field is required.

• An advanced degree (MSc, PharmD, PhD) is preferred.

• A minimum of 8 years of industry experience in clinical research or related areas is necessary.

• Previous experience as a Senior Clinical Research Associate (SCRA) and/or Regional/Clinical Operations Manager within a CRO or sponsor organization is highly advantageous.

• Significant experience in late-stage oncology clinical trials is required.

• A proven history of operational excellence in managing multi-country clinical trials is necessary.

• A strong understanding of drug development processes and regulatory frameworks within Europe is essential.

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities in both Italian and English are required (knowledge of additional European languages is a plus).

• Exceptional organizational and planning skills with a record of successfully managing complex projects are essential.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to foresee challenges and formulate practical solutions, are necessary.

• The ability to comprehend and clearly communicate the development plan and strategic rationale is required.

• Capacity to cultivate effective partnerships with internal stakeholders, investigators, and external partners is essential.

• Demonstrated leadership and influencing abilities, with the skill to drive accountability and achieve results, are required.

• Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, and global environment is essential.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time within Europe and occasionally internationally is required.
