This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership of brand strategy and development, including voice, narrative, visual identity, and brand standards. Ensure a consistent experience across all customer touchpoints.
• Lead a small, talented team consisting of two direct reports (Content Strategist and Creative Lead) and a freelance Video Production partner. Establish the editorial and creative benchmarks that all other initiatives align with.
• Manage the editorial and content calendar to integrate thought leadership, demand generation programs, product launches, and lifecycle initiatives. Ensure that produced content is effectively utilized.
• Take charge of PR and executive thought leadership directly: this includes ghostwritten content, media relationships, and our visibility within the agency community. This responsibility is not delegated.
• Collaborate with the Sr. Manager of Demand Generation and the DGM Create to plan distribution strategies. Remember, content that isn’t distributed doesn’t count.
• Maintain high creative standards across advertisements, web content, launches, and customer-facing materials: your team's quality expectations must be upheld even when other teams are briefing.
• Serve as the brand's voice during narrative and creative decision-making processes, collaborating with PMM, Web, Demand Generation, and the executive team.
• 6+ years of experience in B2B brand and content leadership roles, preferably within SaaS or marketing technology companies.
• Proven track record of taking ownership of brand initiatives that significantly influenced market perceptions of a company, beyond just updating a style guide.
• Strong skills in editorial craft and creative judgment across copywriting, design, and video; while you may not create everything, you should know what is right.
• Hands-on experience in managing PR programs and ghostwriting for executive thought leadership.
• A collaborative mindset that promotes partnership across functions: engaging as peers rather than as vendor-client dynamics.
• Possess player-coach instincts, willing to lead a small team while also contributing directly to brand strategy, PR, and thought leadership efforts.
• Ability to provide mentorship and develop both a senior writer and a senior creative.
