Senior Manager, AML/BSA Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the complete execution of Mission Lane’s AML/BSA Program as the appointed AML/BSA Officer.

• Develop Mission Lane’s second-line AML/BSA function as the bank charter is initiated.

• Perform investigations into suspicious activities, handle escalations, and file SARs.

• Utilize independent judgment in assessing AML/BSA risk from a second-line perspective.

• Report significant issues to senior management and the Risk Committee of the Board.

• Carry out AML/BSA risk assessments and monitor remediation until resolved.

• Deliver regular and ad hoc reports to senior management and the Board regarding program effectiveness and SAR activities.

• Act as the main liaison with examiners and auditors on AML/BSA issues.

• Provide second-line oversight support for OFAC, fraud, and related financial crimes initiatives.

• Collaborate with Customer Operations, Risk, and Legal teams.

• Report directly to the Chief Risk Officer.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in AML/BSA, including more than 3 years in managing AML/BSA programs and direct interaction with regulators.

• Current CAMS certification is required.

• Comprehensive understanding of AML/BSA laws and regulations, as well as compliance frameworks within financial services, including second-line oversight and effective challenge standards.

• Demonstrated ability to autonomously manage investigations and SAR submissions.

• Experience in leading and developing a team of compliance or risk professionals.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in delivering executive-level reports and presentations.

• Capacity to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic, highly regulated setting.

• Ability to work remotely, with necessary travel approximately 6+ times a year.
