Senior Manager, AI Search Visibility, AEO/SEO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of Purple's AI visibility KPIs, which include mention share, citation share, share of voice, sentiment, and average position.

• Align conversational shopper inquiries with the relevant pages and sources that provide answers.

• Manage a quarterly AEO Opportunity Matrix.

• Oversee and rectify inaccuracies in how AI engines represent Purple products, warranties, and GelFlex® Grid technology.

• Responsible for the auditing and management of structured data across Purple.com, encompassing Product, Offer, Review, FAQ, Organization, and LocalBusiness schema in JSON-LD.

• Regulate AI crawler access via robots.txt and other related controls.

• Maintain Purple's entity presence across its website, Google's Knowledge Graph, Merchant Center, and third-party platforms.

• Collaborate with IT on matters related to indexing, rendering, canonicals, faceted navigation, site performance, and platform modernization needs.

• Enhance product feeds for AI shopping outcomes and agentic commerce.

• Execute the Citation Gap Program and eliminate citation discrepancies through public relations and affiliate partnerships.

• Direct Reddit strategy, including AMA series and community management.

• Partner with PR and Brand on reviews, expert endorsements, and E-E-A-T signals.

• Establish answer-first content standards and supervise content briefs, approvals, and published materials.

• Create topic clusters focused on pain and pressure relief, cooling, sleep positions, and model differentiation.

• Collaborate with Legal and Subject Matter Experts on substantiated health and sleep content.

• Ensure new products and landing pages are launched with schema, FAQs, and internal linking.

• Achieve top-three rankings for high-intent terms and take charge of organic and AI-referred revenue.

• Coordinate with Site Merchandising and Demand Generation on launches and landing page governance.

• Monitor AI commerce advancements and suggest investment opportunities.

• Assist with local SEO efforts and new showroom openings.

• Support Amazon SEO and ensure product information accuracy.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in SEO, particularly in Ecommerce or direct-to-consumer contexts.

• 1 to 2+ years of active experience in AEO/GEO work, showcasing measurable improvements in a brand's visibility, citations, or share of voice in AI responses.

• Practical experience in writing, testing, and auditing nested schema.org markup in JSON-LD for product catalogs.

• Familiarity with crawler access, JavaScript-heavy page rendering, retrieval, and third-party references used by LLMs.

• Experience with AI visibility platforms such as SEO Clarity ArcAI, Peec, Profound, Ahrefs Brand Radar, or comparable tools, along with enterprise rank tracking.

• Strong analytical skills in GA4 and Google Search Console.

• Proven experience in managing agencies with defined briefs, KPIs, and quality assurance, including AI-assisted content production at scale.

• Ability to influence IT, Creative, PR, and paid media teams without having direct authority.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to executives and the board.

• Experience in Reddit and community strategy or community/social agency management is a plus.

• Background in affiliate marketing, PR, or digital PR related to citation building is advantageous.

• Experience with Google Merchant Center, product feed tools, and AI shopping or agentic commerce is beneficial.

• Familiarity with SQL, Snowflake, or experience using LLM APIs and scripts to monitor AI responses at scale is a plus.

• Experience with health or wellness content and claim substantiation is an advantage.
