This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a senior team that encompasses platform engineering and technical program management.
• Oversee the AI access layer, which includes identity and authentication for AI tools, connector and integration allowlisting, tiered permissions, and adoption guidelines.
• Establish AI cost engineering capabilities for tracking attribution, optimizing model sizes, monitoring agent and automation spending, budgeting, and alert notifications.
• Manage the MCP layer for internal tools, which comprises commissioning, decommissioning, governance, and assessing migration impacts.
• Take charge of the paved path for internal applications, incorporating golden-path deployment, private-by-default settings, lifecycle policies, and decisions on build versus buy.
• Create enablement capabilities, including a skills and agent registry, evaluation framework, and technical training on authorized tools.
• Define and uphold the Corporate Engineering charter, including ownership boundaries, intake processes, and roadmaps.
• Organize a cross-functional forum to synchronize departmental AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, GRC, Security, Data, Finance, and People teams through coordination and influence.
• Proven experience establishing an internal AI or developer platform function from the ground up.
• Demonstrated skill in drafting a charter, defining intake processes, and constructing a roadmap.
• Ability to outline commitments and deliver initial bounded versions effectively.
• Expertise in AI cost engineering, including usage attribution, model optimization, token economics, spending traceability for agents, budgeting, and implementing guardrails.
• In-depth technical proficiency with LLM platform tools, agent and MCP architecture, identity management and OAuth, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
• Capability to develop platforms for non-developer users while maintaining high-security standards.
• Proficient in data governance within a regulated environment.
• Comfortable operating through influence across partner organizations.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or systems engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience managing and developing engineering teams.
• Ideal candidates will have experience at a company that has undergone significant headcount growth.
• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.
