This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage the financial closing and reporting processes, ensuring that GAAP-compliant financial statements and management reports are produced accurately and on time.
• Take the lead in preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, which include variance analyses and critical performance metrics.
• Examine and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and related documentation to guarantee accuracy and adherence to company policies and controls.
• Continuously assess and improve accounting operations, bolster internal controls, and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Implement new technical accounting standards and maintain proper documentation of accounting positions and policies.
• Prepare and review audit schedules, liaise with external auditors, and promptly address audit inquiries.
• Ensure the timely completion of statutory and regulatory filings, including tax returns, financial reporting packages, and other compliance submissions.
• Collaborate with FP&A to synchronize management reporting with external financial results, ensuring transparency and consistency.
• Manage or assist with ad hoc projects such as system implementations, process automation initiatives, and specialized financial analyses.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; CPA or CA certification is preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in a combination of public and private accounting (Big 4, SEC-registered public company, or pre-IPO environment).
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in key accounting processes including A/P, A/R, Payroll, Cash Management, and Fixed Assets.
• Direct experience with financial closing, financial reporting, and management reporting cycles.
• Familiarity with external audits, including the preparation of PBCs and supporting schedules.
• Knowledge of multi-state payroll and experience with Xero, ADP, and Workday is preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Google Workspace, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail coupled with the capability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Highly organized, self-driven, and a collaborative team player who can work independently.
