Senior Manager, Account Manager – U.S. Army Sustainment, Customer Success

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact for U.S. Army sustainment accounts, providing prompt and high-quality customer service and support.

• Establish and nurture strong relationships with Army end users, program offices, sustainment commands, and partner OEM/contractor teams.

• Enhance customer satisfaction by comprehending mission requirements, identifying challenges, and coordinating swift resolutions with internal teams.

• Oversee account management tasks, including forecasting, opportunity identification, pipeline development, and contract execution.

• Support sales growth by proposing solutions that improve readiness, sustainment efficiency, and lifecycle performance.

• Work closely with engineering, logistics, product, and operations teams to ensure that customer needs are prioritized and accurately conveyed.

• Track program health and sustainment metrics, proactively resolving issues that could affect performance or customer trust.

• Conduct regular in-person and remote briefings, reviews, and touchpoints with Army partners to ensure visibility and alignment.

• Maintain precise records of customer interactions, requirements, opportunities, and risk factors.

• Ensure adherence to all DoD, Army, and corporate policies concerning ethics, security, and information management.

• Develop and manage customer sales forecasts while meeting the sales plans for Spare Parts, GSE, MRO, and Strategic Long-Term Agreements.

• Lead the CSM team to promote Collins Aerospace aftermarket products and services to designated customers.

• Identify business opportunities and formulate strategies to meet business objectives.

• Manage the customer segment strategy by understanding the market landscape and competition, identifying, developing, and executing initiatives to maximize market sector sales and margin growth (protect and grow).


⛳️ Requirements

• Generally requires a University Degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 7 years of experience.

• Over 8 years of experience in sales related to aerospace or aviation sectors.

• Prior military sales experience with OEM and U.S. government clients is essential.

• Proven experience in developing and finalizing significant long-term agreements with OEMs and the U.S. Government in Military Aftermarket business, including the establishment of PBL agreements.

• Experience in presenting to and engaging with executive leadership.

• Must have a background in reporting on various business metrics and a clear understanding of how to enhance business performance.

• Comprehensive knowledge of finance, program management, marketing principles, and practices, along with a thorough understanding of related industry standards.

• Ability to establish and maintain supportive relationships with high-level technical and non-technical customer personnel.
