This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Take full responsibility for the macOS agent from start to finish.
• Design and sustain privileged system services, inter-process communication, and reliable self-updating mechanisms across non-administrated endpoints.
• Implement TLS interception and establish certificate trust chains on macOS.
• Address system proxy configuration conflicts in conjunction with endpoint security tools, VPNs, and cloud proxies.
• Develop native interception functionalities for AI developer tools to oversee and enforce data-loss policies.
• Implement a fail-open architecture to ensure that local failures do not compromise network connectivity or access to corporate resources.
• Examine customer logs and clean-state Mac reproductions to determine root causes and deliver lasting solutions.
• Manage product fixes for conflicts arising with other endpoint security solutions.
• Act as the primary technical authority for macOS engineering decisions across research and development.
• Minimum of 5 years in systems-level software development.
• Over 3 years of experience delivering production macOS software using Swift and Objective-C.
• In-depth knowledge of macOS platform internals, including launchd, XPC, code signing, notarization, packaging, privileged operations, and debugging intricate runtime behavior.
• Strong foundation in networking principles, including system proxies, TLS, certificate trust, and application-to-internet connections.
• Practical experience with contemporary AI development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
• A critical, verification-first mindset when it comes to AI-generated code.
• Excellent technical communication abilities.
• Experience in resolving significant technical challenges alongside field engineers and enterprise IT teams.
• A degree in Computer Science or a comparable practical engineering background.
• Opportunity to build a native macOS platform instead of managing a ported Windows client.
• Complete technical ownership over privileged services, trust chains, proxy configurations, and network components.
• An engineering culture that promotes strict "fail open" reliability.
• Focus on root-cause product fixes rather than relying on customer-side exclusions or temporary workarounds.
