Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Engineering team to design, implement, and enhance security measures across AlertMedia’s software, application architecture, and AWS infrastructure.

• Enhance security monitoring, detection, and incident response capabilities.

• Embed security controls within CI/CD pipelines and software development processes.

• Assist in SOC 2 and ISO audit activities.

• Lead the technical aspects of security reviews and architecture discussions for enterprise customers.

• Acquire in-depth knowledge of AlertMedia’s software and provide guidance to Sales and Legal regarding customer security inquiries.

• Convey security risks, requirements, and recommendations to technical teams, business partners, and clients.

• Recognize opportunities to strengthen security and compliance measures throughout the product and infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of three years of experience in security engineering, information security, compliance, or a similar field.

• Practical experience in securing AWS environments.

• Familiarity with AWS security services such as IAM, VPC, KMS, WAF, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and Macie.

• Understanding of identity and access management, encryption standards, cloud infrastructure, and security tools.

• Experience in integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and software development workflows.

• Background in supporting SOC 2 and/or ISO audits.

• Experience in application security, cloud security, or incident response programs.

• Participation in customer security reviews and the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• Experience leading technical security or architecture discussions with enterprise clients.

• Strong analytical, project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.

• Capability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

• Valid authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
