Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Artificial Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop essential Machine Learning (ML) systems that drive a forward-thinking, long-term Artificial Intelligence (AI) product.

• Take full ownership of the process: from data preparation to training, evaluation, inference, and continuous improvement.

• Transform research concepts into functional systems that operate reliably in a production environment.

• Troubleshoot model failures and system challenges using actual production data.

• Iterate swiftly: deploy, assess results, enhance, and repeat the process.

• Work collaboratively with research, product, and engineering teams to achieve meaningful user impact.

• Guide and evaluate the work of fellow Machine Learning (ML) engineers through mentorship and technical insights.

• Operate within real production constraints such as latency, cost, reliability, and safety.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing and deploying Machine Learning (ML) systems utilized by actual users.

• A background in Artificial Intelligence (AI) is mandatory.

• Familiarity with the behavior and potential pitfalls of modern Machine Learning (ML) models in production environments.

• Proficient in writing strong, production-grade code and thinking in systems rather than just scripts.

• Ability to take initiative, work autonomously, and drive projects to completion.

• Quick learner with effective communication skills and a commitment to improvement through iteration.

• Technical expertise in GPU-based training and inference systems, JAX, Python, and PyTorch.
