This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Reviews, assesses, and endorses commercial customer applications for credit extensions.
• Conducts interviews with applicants and requests specific information necessary for loan applications.
• Structures credit in accordance with SBA program guidelines.
• Cultivates customer relationships by providing friendly, courteous, and responsive service.
• Markets the Bank's services to both existing and prospective customers at industry-specific trade shows.
• Fosters strong connections with referral sources across various market niches.
• Evaluates applicants' financial situations, credit histories, and property assessments to ascertain if loan requests align with the Bank's SBA criteria.
• Structures lending opportunities to adhere to the Bank's SBA Standards.
• Assesses repayment sources for potential loan requests.
• Communicates with or interviews applicants or creditors to clarify any queries regarding application information.
• Proposes loans to the loan committee for endorsement.
• Denies loans that do not fulfill lending requirements.
• Develops and sustains robust relationships with referral sources.
• Maintains connections with existing loan account customers and manages current loan accounts as necessary.
• Stays informed about economic conditions, developments, and trends within customers' businesses, the banking sector, and the specific market niches targeted by the Bank.
• Collaborates as a team, recognizing that each member contributes significantly to the team's success.
• Remains updated on the products and services offered by the Bank.
• Upholds a high standard of regulatory awareness, including BSA, AML, CIP, and OFAC.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in financial or industry-related fields.
• Well-established external COIs/referral sources.
• A strong market influencer in the DC area.
• Proven record of closing $15 million or more annually for the past three years, preferably within the industries that Live Oak Bank finances.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Bank's lending policies, procedures, and criteria.
