Senior Litigation Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee moderately complex civil litigation on behalf of American Family and our insured clients, adhering to established guidelines and the highest ethical standards.

• Evaluate cases, devise strategies for optimal results, and seek settlements when appropriate.

• Direct discovery processes, draft pleadings and briefs, and conduct research to reinforce your litigation strategy.

• Represent clients in trials, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.

• Advocate for our clients in state and federal courts, administrative tribunals, and regulatory hearings.

• Remain informed about legal trends to ensure our policies are robust and enforceable.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience delivering customer-focused solutions, support, or services.

• Proven experience in drafting civil pleadings, motions, conducting discovery, and deposing witnesses.

• Demonstrated experience in litigation.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of the Professional Responsibility rules applicable in the jurisdiction of practice.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of tort, contract, and insurance law.

• Admitted to the Iowa State Bar.

• Additional admission to the Nebraska State Bar or a willingness to obtain such admission is preferred.

• Juris Doctor degree.
