This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Evaluate and analyze a diverse existing service and system landscape.
• Identify opportunities for optimization and devise strategies to modernize the infrastructure.
• Design and implement automation solutions (e.g., using Ansible and Puppet) to enhance operational efficiency.
• Assist in the ongoing development and standardization of the platforms and services currently in use.
• Plan, prepare, and carry out the migration of existing services to a modernized target environment.
• Ensure a stable and minimally disruptive transition during the migration process.
• Document all actions taken and share knowledge with internal teams.
• A degree in (business) computer science or a related field, or completed vocational training (e.g., IT specialist) with relevant professional experience.
• Several years of hands-on experience in administering Linux system landscapes.
• Strong knowledge of automation and configuration management, especially with Ansible and Puppet.
• Experience in operating and managing modern infrastructure and middleware components, including: Checkmk, ElasticSearch, Artifactory, Kubernetes, ActiveMQ, GitLab, MinIO, MooseFS, Vaultwarden, OpenLDAP.
• Experience working within complex, heterogeneous IT service landscapes.
• A structured and analytical approach to evaluating and optimizing existing systems.
