Senior Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee and resolve the complete offboarding process for employees across various international jurisdictions, ensuring an exceptional offboarding experience for Remote's clients and their workforce.

β€’ Offer expert advice and manage client inquiries on a range of HR issues, including but not limited to termination, resignation, transfer procedures, employment contracts, and redundancy processes, while ensuring compliance with legal standards and best practices.

β€’ Lead and facilitate discussions with clients and external employees, including but not limited to workforce reduction consultation meetings, administrative hearings, negotiations in separations and settlements, providing guidance on terminations, and delivering outcomes related to terminations.

β€’ Negotiate and influence favorable results in complex termination scenarios, balancing the interests of multiple stakeholders with differing priorities.

β€’ Collaborate and coordinate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance in offboarding activities and audits, including but not limited to payroll, legal counsel, government agencies, and trade unions.

β€’ Accurately draft, customize, and manage all termination and supplementary documents, ensuring employee records are maintained in strict accordance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.

β€’ Execute offboarding procedures on Remote's internal HRIS platform, working with various internal stakeholders, such as Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Time and Attendance, to ensure all facets of the employee exit are handled promptly and correctly.

β€’ Serve as the subject-matter expert, addressing internal and external inquiries regarding all offboarding issues, in collaboration with Lifecycle's internal stakeholders.

β€’ Guide clients through Remote's Employee Relations resources and manuals, assisting them in understanding the relevant policies and procedures.

β€’ Conduct initial assessments of workplace issues, pinpointing key facts and applicable local regulations.

β€’ Work with internal and external parties to ensure appropriate management of employee relations concerns.

β€’ Assist clients in grasping progressive disciplinary methods and documentation necessities.

β€’ Monitor ongoing employee relations cases, ensuring timely follow-up and coordination with relevant stakeholders.

β€’ Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancements, automation, product development, and overall improvement of customer and employee experiences in the offboarding and employee relations processes.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, possessing generalist HR skills and exposure throughout the employee lifecycle.

β€’ Demonstrated experience with a solid background in managing voluntary and involuntary exits (terminations) with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance; and providing thorough HR support and guidance on employment laws and regulations across various jurisdictions.

β€’ Capability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, analyze complex HR challenges, conduct research, offer practical solutions, and effectively communicate recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders, especially in ambiguous and unfamiliar situations.

β€’ Basic understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline strategies, and fundamentals of workplace investigations.

β€’ Outstanding communication, influencing, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills, with the capacity to confidently lead challenging discussions to a positive conclusion, often involving conflicting interests, while maintaining professionalism and strict confidentiality.

β€’ Advanced proficiency in both written and spoken English, with additional languages viewed as beneficial.

β€’ Strong willingness to innovate and enhance processes, continuously identifying and implementing opportunities for automation and promoting best practices.

β€’ Efficiency in operations, recognizing the importance of meticulous record-keeping and data integrity.

β€’ Tech-savvy, adept at collaborating asynchronously using various tools, and capable of adapting to new and evolving systems.

β€’ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an international team in a fast-paced, asynchronous, remote environment while managing multiple priorities. Flexibility to work variable hours as needed.

β€’ Proactive and self-driven with a keen sense of ownership and accountability.

β€’ Exhibits strong automation and AI competencies along with fluency in AI technologies.
