Senior Liability Claims Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee mid to complex Auto and/or General Liability claims, encompassing bodily injury and property damage.

• Manage litigated cases utilizing delegated authority and adhering to company best practices.

• Receive claims, verify policy coverage, and acknowledge claims.

• Assess claim validity and compensability.

• Investigate and manage Auto and/or General Liability claims.

• Set reserves and authorize payments within established reserving authority limits.

• Communicate claim status updates to customers, claimants, and clients.

• Comply with client and carrier guidelines.

• Participate in claims reviews as necessary.

• Work collaboratively with team members on complex or challenging claims.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing General Liability claims, including high exposure and/or litigated claims.

• At least two (2) years of experience handling Auto Liability claims.

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• A current Adjuster’s License in the state of operation is mandatory.

• A Multi-State license is preferred.

• Experience with municipalities is an advantage.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to learn quickly and develop knowledge and understanding of claims practices.

• Proficiency in identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems.

• Competent in computer skills and technical aptitude, including Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheets.

• Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational abilities.

• Capacity to meet or surpass performance expectations.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
