This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Design and direct the Labor & Employee Relations strategy for the designated Diagnostics Operating Companies across France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
• Provide counsel to senior HR and business leaders regarding labor risks, workforce decisions, organizational changes, and the implications of business strategies.
• Manage intricate and high-stakes employee relations issues, including investigations, senior-level performance and conduct cases, grievances, accommodations, and terminations.
• Take ownership of information, consultation, and collective bargaining processes involving works councils, trade unions, and employee representative bodies.
• Oversee labor and employee relations initiatives during workforce reductions, restructurings, reorganizations, transfers of undertakings, site transformations, mergers, acquisitions, integrations, expansions, and closures.
• Establish governance frameworks, policies, toolkits, and standardized procedures across the Diagnostics Platform.
• Create proactive risk management strategies, mentor HR and leadership teams, and utilize case trends and business insights to enhance consistency, efficiency, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with Operating Company HR teams, People Partners, senior business leaders, employee representatives, Compliance, Legal, and external counsel.
• A French Bachelor's Degree in Law, Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, a master's degree in human resources, or a related field, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Over 12 years of progressively responsible experience in labor relations, employee relations, employment law, HR business partnering, or a related human resources field.
• Proven experience with complex, high-risk, and multi-entity issues.
• In-depth knowledge of French employment and labor law, collective labor relations frameworks, restructuring obligations, and co-determination responsibilities.
• Skilled in translating legal requirements into actionable business decisions.
• Experience in leading complex employee relations cases, collective workforce reductions, restructuring, harmonization, and significant organizational changes.
• Background in advising senior leaders and coordinating implementation across a matrixed, multinational environment.
• Proficient in developing negotiation strategies and leading interactions with works councils, trade unions, or other employee representative bodies.
• Experience in establishing governance, standard work, and organizational capacity within Labor & Employee Relations.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Professional proficiency in Italian, Spanish, or Portuguese is advantageous.
• Background in manufacturing, diagnostics, life sciences, or another highly regulated sector is a plus.
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions, integrations, or major site transformations is a plus.
