Senior Legal Surveyor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform boundary calculations.

• Conduct 1st Draft Reviews for legal plans.

• Collaborate closely with the signing OLS and drafting team to verify plans.

• Finalize plan closures.

• Calculate reference plans.

• Create calculation sketches that effectively illustrate the evidence assessment according to established legal principles.

• Ensure calculation sketches clearly present the boundary retracement methodology, making it easy for the signing OLS to comprehend the available options and decisions made.

• Ensure calculation sketches are clear for the CAD Operator's drafting process.

• Identify situations where consultation with the signing OLS is necessary for complex boundary retracements or when calculations exceed their expertise.

• Review and analyze metes and bounds descriptions.

• Demonstrate knowledge of proper research techniques and recognize when additional research materials are needed.

• Understand AOLS and IBW Standards.

• Know how to procure additional research materials as required.

• Prepare files for fieldwork and ensure proper organization for the field crew.

• Identify when consultation with the Project Manager is necessary.

• Recognize when consultation with the Team Lead is needed.

• Acknowledge when further evidence is required.

• Possess an understanding of the IBW CAD and Quality Control processes.

• Adhere to all IBW protocols related to processes concerning calculation sketches, CAD drawings, upload files, and more.
