Senior Legal Counsel – Interim

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist the General Counsel based in the US with the planning and development of the legal function.

• Collaborate with the legal team in Ireland utilizing a follow-the-sun work methodology.

• Draft, negotiate, and review commercial contracts with customers, partners, and service providers.

• Provide support to junior members of the legal team.

• Deliver timely legal advice on commercial contracts, privacy and data protection, policies and procedures, corporate governance, intellectual property, employment law, and related subjects.

• Implement risk management strategies and offer proactive guidance on commercial transactions.

• Engage in communication, negotiation, and issue resolution with colleagues and external parties.

• Manage complex matters involving various stakeholders.

• Stay informed on changes in relevant rules and legislation while developing expertise in new practice areas.

• Collaborate with the General Counsel, Legal & Compliance, Sales, Finance, and other organizational stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• US-qualified lawyer or attorney.

• A minimum of 8 to 10 years of post-qualification experience in relevant areas of law.

• Proficiency in commercial contracts, particularly technology and SaaS contracts.

• Commitment to the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity.

• Strong understanding of commercial law and its implications.

• Good judgment and the ability to analyze situations and information effectively.
