This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in Rula’s efforts related to payor and clinical contracting.
• Act as a reliable legal advisor for business teams.
• Develop scalable and compliant healthcare partnerships.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
• Provide guidance on corporate practice of medicine, fraud and abuse, telehealth, scope of practice, and state AI regulations.
• Simplify complex regulatory challenges into clear, actionable legal counsel.
• Actively reduce business risks.
• Support daily operations and contribute to business goals.
• Establish foundational legal processes that facilitate accessible, high-quality mental healthcare.
• Over 7 years of relevant professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in healthcare regulatory law within a law firm or in-house setting.
• Provide strategic guidance on healthcare regulatory issues, including corporate practice of medicine, Anti-Kickback Statutes, False Claims Act, Civil Monetary Penalties Law, scope of practice, telehealth legislation, HIPAA, AI clinical governance frameworks, Medicare and Medicaid regulations, and reimbursement matters.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in contracting.
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating agreements related to providers, payors, commercial entities, network participation, business associates, management services, professional services, and similar contracts.
• Experience working with and providing support to healthcare providers and/or healthcare organizations.
• Excellent writing, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to offer efficient, concise, and practical advice in a dynamic environment.
• Candidates must reside in the United States; Rula is not currently hiring in Hawaii.
• Must have eligibility to work in the United States.
