Senior Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Offer legal guidance and support concerning business operations, contract negotiations, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance issues.

• Prepare, assess, and negotiate commercial agreements, partnership agreements, licensing agreements, and internal policies.

• Recognize legal risks and create strategies to mitigate potential exposure, ensuring business continuity.

• Oversee external legal counsel on complex issues while promoting cost-effective solutions.

• Keep track of changes in laws and regulations, advising the business on their implications and necessary adjustments.

• Create and present legal training on various legal topics and compliance obligations.

• Assist with litigation and dispute resolution activities, including conducting legal research and preparing documentation.

• Work collaboratively with business units, finance, HR, compliance, and other departments on legal and commercial issues.

• Ensure adherence to applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

• Bar admission in good standing in at least one relevant jurisdiction.

• A minimum of 8-10 years of post-qualification experience as a practicing attorney, ideally with a blend of law firm and in-house experience within a multinational corporation.

• Proven experience in commercial law, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance, along with a solid understanding of international business law and cross-border transactions.

• Proficient in English.

• Capable of effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines while working independently and as part of a team.
