Senior Legal Associate, Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Indonesia.

📋 Description

• Create, evaluate, and oversee the complete lifecycle of commercial contracts and legal documents.

• Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and internal policies within Kata.ai's SaaS and enterprise AI sectors.

• Minimize legal exposure and risks.

• Facilitate efficient commercial operations and foster scalable client relationships.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of professional experience in commercial law, with an emphasis on contract creation, evaluation, and negotiation.

• Demonstrated experience with SaaS, technology, or digital platform commercial agreements.

• Knowledge of subscription models, SLAs, data processing agreements, and intellectual property clauses.

• Experience providing guidance on Indonesian regulatory compliance across various legal entities.

• Background in or collaboration with a technology firm, startup, or SaaS organization is highly preferred.

• Capacity to operate independently and adaptably in a contract or freelance setting.

• Bachelor's degree in Law (S.H.) from a recognized institution.

• Familiarity with the legal landscape of the Indonesian SaaS, technology, or digital economy is strongly preferred.

• Comprehensive experience in drafting, redlining, negotiating, and executing SaaS agreements, MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, and vendor contracts.

• Understanding of Indonesian regulatory compliance, UU PDP, OJK where applicable, and corporate governance.

• Capability to assist with investment-related legal documentation and corporate secretary coordination.

• Proficient in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office.

• Expertise in professional legal drafting in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
