This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Serves as a resource for colleagues; reviews the work of junior staff and may oversee the tasks of other team members.
• Aids in the training of new personnel.
• Monitors and collects metrics related to projects, renewals, and new applications.
• Responsible for completing licensing and provider enrollment applications, along with all associated activities for new, renewal, and update scenarios.
• Tasked with informing states about deactivations or changes concerning licenses.
• Engages in project progress meetings, sharing updates on successes or failures along with action plans.
• Assists in the creation and evaluation of documentation and training materials.
• Supports branch offices with all tasks associated with Licensing and Provider Enrollment activities.
• Provides assistance to the legal department on corporate governance, real estate, and other assigned matters.
• Paralegal certification is preferred.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as legal studies or business administration) is preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED; college coursework is desirable.
• At least five (5) years of experience in the healthcare sector specifically focusing on licensing and enrollment.
• Familiarity with various licensing boards, Pharmacy, and Department of Health (Home Health), along with experience in completing licensing applications.
• Experience with Medicare and Medicaid and the completion of related applications.
• Proven ability to identify issues and propose/implement solutions to resolve challenges.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal (on the phone, in one-on-one settings, and to groups) and written (emails, letters, reports, presentations) tailored to various audiences (work groups, teams, company management, prospective acquisitions, external clients).
• Experience in developing strategies to achieve goals with minimal supervision, relying on self-direction to fulfill objectives and recognizing when to escalate issues.
• Background in working as a paralegal or legal assistant in support of legal department functions.
