This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovakia.
• Oversee the resolution of intricate and significant network incidents involving routing, switching, SD-WAN, Nexus data center switching, Riverbed WAN optimization, and F5 LTM load balancing environments.
• Serve as the ultimate technical escalation point.
• Conduct advanced root cause analysis and propose permanent corrective measures.
• Design, evaluate, and enhance network architecture for scalability, resilience, performance, and security.
• Lead substantial network upgrades, migrations, and technology deployments across Cisco, Riverbed, and F5 platforms.
• Manage high-impact changes from the design phase through implementation and validation.
• Establish standards for routing, switching, segmentation, resilience, monitoring, and configuration management.
• Review and authorize complex network changes while offering technical guidance during maintenance windows.
• Mentor Level 1 and Level 2 engineers and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with vendors, carriers, project teams, security teams, and business stakeholders on strategic initiatives.
• Act as the technical authority on initiatives influencing network and application delivery.
• Expert-level understanding of enterprise routing and switching protocols, including BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, NAT, STP, VLANs, EtherChannel, Cisco SD-WAN, and network segmentation.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills utilizing logs, packet captures, routing analysis, and performance data.
• Capability to isolate complex multi-layer issues across internal networks and the SD-WAN fabric.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and managing resilient enterprise network architectures.
• Familiarity with routing design, failover strategies, and application traffic flows.
• Experience with automation, standardization, lifecycle management, and operational improvement initiatives.
• CCNP Enterprise certification required or equivalent hands-on experience.
• CCIE certification or demonstrated expert-level networking skills is a significant advantage.
• In-depth expertise in BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, NAT, ACLs, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, and SD-WAN.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise, data center, campus, or global WAN environments.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN, cloud networking, network automation, and Zero Trust network concepts.
• Experience in vendor management and providing technical leadership.
• Over 10 years of experience in enterprise network engineering, architecture, operations, or infrastructure leadership.
