This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead project teams and manage disciplines, ensuring the timely completion of projects within budget constraints.
• Responsible for creating deliverable documents such as narratives, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Participate in client meetings and spearhead coordination efforts between external and internal project teams.
• Assess and apply engineering judgment, techniques, and procedures independently to advance a project from initial concepts to construction.
• Expertise in mechanical system design, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and energy modeling.
• Assemble and manage effective project teams.
• Create project work plans, defining tasks and assignments for team members.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of interdisciplinary coordination.
• Advanced knowledge of building codes and mechanical industry standards.
• Supervise engineering calculations and the selection of equipment.
• Conduct site visits and generate reports on findings.
• Offer training, guidance, and mentorship to staff members.
• Update master specifications and standards, enhancing company processes.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients.
• Ensure the implementation of the project quality management plan (QMP).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering relevant to the discipline.
• Possession of a relevant professional credential (e.g., PE).
• 5-10 years of related work experience is required.
• Leadership experience is essential.
• Ability to inspire and motivate team members.
• Serve as a technical resource for the organization.
• Advanced comprehension of mechanical engineering principles and the ability to effectively communicate design alternatives.
• Capable of assembling and leading a team.
• Strong skills in delegation.
• High attention to detail and exceptional organizational capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD.
