📋 Description

• Enhance Reddit's cross-platform design system by broadening its functionalities and creating higher-level reusable components that expedite product development while ensuring consistency and quality.

• Work collaboratively across product teams, designers, and engineers to guarantee that the design system and UI infrastructure effectively cater to actual product requirements.

• Boost performance at scale by contributing to Android architecture, rendering patterns, and performance-oriented development practices that integrate performance as a fundamental aspect of the platform.

• Promote accessibility throughout the platform by developing accessible components, patterns, tools, and documentation that facilitate teams in adopting accessibility best practices by default.

• Enhance developer experience by contributing to shared tools, documentation, and platform enhancements that assist engineers in creating reliable and consistent UI across Reddit's products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of software engineering experience, showcasing a history of leading cross-functional projects and delivering solutions with extensive product impact.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining shared UI infrastructure, including design systems, component libraries, or frontend frameworks utilized by multiple teams.

• Strong background in modern Android development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, with expertise in UI architecture, scalable component design, and performance optimization utilizing tools such as Instruments.

• Knowledge of accessibility best practices and a commitment to creating components, tools, or documentation that enable teams to deliver accessible experiences by default.
