Senior Lead Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Oversee the integration of various strategic platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability to facilitate the creation of workforce optimization models.

• Design, construct, and sustain robust data pipelines and ETL processes that gather, cleanse, and process data from multiple sources to develop a comprehensive data ecosystem.

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to support the development and refinement of optimization models that identify skills gaps and recommend actions such as upskilling, hiring, or engaging workers.

• Create scalable data architecture solutions that guarantee high performance, reliability, and accessibility of workforce data throughout the organization.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, business units, and IT, to align data engineering initiatives with business needs and strategic objectives.

• Implement automation in data processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy, while continuously exploring new tools and technologies to improve data integration and modeling capabilities.

• Establish data governance practices to ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8+ years of pertinent experience in data engineering

• Extensive experience in building and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines

• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing tasks

• Practical experience with data integration across various enterprise platforms

• Strong understanding of data architecture and data modeling principles

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and contemporary data tools

• Knowledge of data governance, quality assurance, and security practices

• Capability to work with large, complex, and varied datasets

• Experience collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders

• Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to translate business needs
