This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take the lead in identifying, securing, and delivering new Habitat Bank opportunities throughout the South of England, contributing to the acceleration of nature recovery where it is most needed.

• Collaborate closely with the Head of Land (South) and work with regional Land and Ecology teams to develop and implement a robust pipeline of high-quality Habitat Bank projects.

• Mentor and support Land Managers within the broader team, sharing insights and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.

• Establish trusted relationships with landowners, farmers, and land agents, uncovering opportunities to create Habitat Banks that provide long-term benefits for both the environment and our partners.

• Create a regional pipeline by proactively identifying and evaluating land that aligns with Environment Bank's strategic goals and biodiversity objectives.

• Assess opportunities based on Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) demand, market insights, and commercial considerations, closely coordinating with Sales and Finance teams to maximize impact.

• Manage the complete due diligence process, working alongside Ecology, Habitat Delivery, Legal, and Finance teams to evaluate site suitability and advance projects efficiently.

• Supervise the planning and consenting process for Habitat Bank creation, ensuring projects transition smoothly from initial opportunity to delivery.

• Prepare, present, and negotiate commercial proposals with landowners, balancing sound commercial judgment with a partnership-oriented approach.

• Guide landowners through each stage of the onboarding process, offering clear communication, expert advice, and an exceptional experience from the first conversation to contract completion.

• Represent Environment Bank at regional and national events, enhancing our visibility within the rural community and motivating landowners, farmers, and agents to join the UK's nature recovery initiative.

• Serve as an ambassador for Environment Bank, advocating for our mission and helping to forge lasting partnerships that result in measurable biodiversity improvements across the region.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience working directly with farmers and landowners in a professional context.

• MRICS/CAAV or relevant professional qualifications are required for this position.

• A solid understanding of Farm Business Tenancies and pertinent environmental issues related to rural land management.

• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Land Registry and other publicly accessible legal and land management data sources.

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to present to groups and engage diverse stakeholders.

• Highly organized and proactive, capable of managing personal schedules, maintaining records, and prioritizing tasks effectively.

• Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel for regional site visits and events.

• Numerate and proficient with computers, possessing a strong understanding of data analysis and manipulation.
