This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Create backend applications in cloud environments utilizing Kotlin/Java and frameworks like Spring Boot, Micronaut, or Quarkus.
• Design resilient and maintainable software architectures.
• Provide expertise in a secondary area, either frontend or Infrastructure/CloudOps.
• Purposefully apply Agentic Coding to enhance software quality.
• Utilize tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot, along with context- and rules-based files and plan-/spec-driven workflows.
• Conduct critical reviews of AI-generated code modifications.
• Ensure application excellence through unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify and constructively challenge opportunities for code enhancement.
• Take responsibility for and document technical decisions in a transparent and traceable manner.
• Work collaboratively with clients and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to independently develop backend applications in cloud environments.
• Experience with prevalent frameworks such as Spring Boot, Micronaut, or Quarkus.
• Understanding of robust and maintainable software architecture.
• A secondary proficiency in either frontend technologies (e.g., Vue.js, React, or Angular) or Infrastructure/CloudOps (e.g., Terraform, Kubernetes, or CI/CD).
• Familiarity with Agentic Coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
• Methodical application of context and rules files, plan-/spec-driven workflows, and critical analysis of AI-generated code changes.
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Openness to embracing new technologies.
• Proficient German language skills, at least at the C1 level.
• Good command of English.
• Communicative, team-oriented working style with a passion for collaborating with clients.
