Senior Java/Kotlin Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and create robust, scalable microservices utilizing Kotlin and Java.

• Maintain code quality by implementing principles such as TDD, DDD, Clean Code, and Hexagonal Architecture.

• Collaborate effectively with the team and clients, ensuring clear and proactive communication to deliver optimal solutions.

• Develop tests (unit, functional, performance), instrument applications for monitoring (Grafana/Splunk), and address complex technical challenges (bugs, incidents).

• Engage with a modern technology ecosystem, including SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL), along with protocols like HTTP/HTTPS.

• Utilize GIT/Git Flow and document APIs using Swagger to uphold project organization and clarity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with object-oriented programming languages, particularly Java and Kotlin.

• Demonstrated knowledge of microservices architecture.

• Proficient in software development best practices (TDD, DDD, Clean Code).

• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases (SQL/NoSQL).

• Familiarity with the HTTP/HTTPS protocol as well as tools like GIT and Swagger.

• Capability to troubleshoot intricate technical issues and propose ongoing improvements.

• Strong communication abilities and a collaborative approach.

• Nice to have:

• Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring Boot and/or Javalin.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.

• Knowledge of data streaming solutions (like Kafka) and event-driven architecture.

• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud and AWS.

• Proficiency in API management tools such as Apigee Hybrid.

• Experience with Node.js for API management and server-side development.
