Senior Java Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Croatia.

📋 Description

• Architect and Build: Design, create, and implement high-quality applications and microservices, taking ownership of the backend architecture and coding standards.

• Collaborate: Engage closely with fellow developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams (including client teams) to transform requirements into elegant technical solutions.

• Quality First: Write clean and maintainable code, perform comprehensive code reviews, mentor other developers, and share your expertise.

• Iterate: Troubleshoot and optimize existing software to ensure peak performance and reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional software development experience, with at least 5 years focused on Java (Spring and Spring Boot).

• Strong foundational knowledge of backend development.

• Extensive experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL; experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) is a plus.

• Proficiency with Docker and experience working within Azure environments.

• Familiarity with contemporary TypeScript standards and frontend frameworks (Vue.js is preferred, but experience with React/Angular is also valued).

• Experience with CI/CD practices and tools.

• Understanding of DevOps, Kubernetes, and general Cloud infrastructure.

• Knowledge of security best practices and web tokens (JWT).
