Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Paraguay.

📋 Description

• Engage in designing solutions and software to meet the necessary functionalities.

• Assess, enhance, and optimize application code utilizing advanced AI tools and contemporary development methodologies within Trading Controls tools.

• Create the necessary specifications through the delivery of services and technical components required for operation, focusing on personal development and integration with other teams and systems.

• Document solutions in JIRA, Confluence, and ALM.

• Analyze and evaluate Java and Spring Boot-based applications to ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability while minimizing technical debt.

• Utilize AI-driven tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Devin) to expedite code analysis, refactoring, and documentation processes.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to pinpoint performance bottlenecks and suggest enhancements.

• Assist in implementing best practices for both backend and frontend development.

• Contribute to continuous integration and delivery initiatives.

• Handle requests from other production support teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a developer in the relevant areas is mandatory.

• Proficiency and experience with AI-powered tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Devin).

• Background in enhancing code quality, minimizing technical debt, and boosting delivery efficiency.

• Proficient in Java; Java Database Connectivity; J2EE.

• Experienced with Spring Boot.

• Knowledgeable in JavaScript.

• Familiar with Maven.

• Experience with JADE (Node.js).

• Skilled in HTML.

• Proficient in Oracle databases.

• Experienced with APIs and Microservices.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices.

• Strong experience in cybersecurity & quality assurance (Fortify, SonarQube…) to address and reduce technical debt.

• Proficiency in English and Spanish.
