Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Create and implement a robust event-driven communication platform that scales effectively.

• Develop reliable and fault-tolerant messaging delivery systems.

• Oversee extensive real-time event processing pipelines.

• Design and execute multi-channel delivery pipelines for email, SMS, voice, and push notifications.

• Address compliance obligations, manage consent, and enforce communication policies.

• Facilitate workflows for emergency and high-priority notifications.

• Establish provider failover mechanisms and resilience strategies to guarantee continuous delivery.

• Construct tracking systems to monitor delivery statuses, retries, and engagement activities.

• Create and implement observability, reporting, and analytical infrastructures.

• Develop workflows for event processing and message orchestration.

• Execute provider integrations and adapt external messaging services.

• Ensure system scalability, throughput, and performance during peak loads.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define communication flows and requirements.

• Participate in architectural decisions and the long-term evolution of the platform.

• Maintain operational stability, reliability, and system maintainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years in software development.

• Proficient in Java programming.

• Experience working with distributed systems.

• Strong background in event-driven architectures.

• Familiarity with messaging systems, queues, streams, and brokers.

• Experience in designing APIs and backend services at scale.

• Solid understanding of system reliability and fault tolerance.

• Upper-Intermediate level of English proficiency.

• Familiarity with email or SMS delivery systems is advantageous.

• Experience with telecommunications or messaging infrastructure is a plus.

• Background in marketing automation platforms is beneficial.

• Experience with notification or engagement systems is an asset.

• Familiarity with workflow engines is a plus.

• Experience with compliance-heavy systems, such as those involving consent and GDPR-like regulations, is advantageous.

• Experience with high-throughput event processing systems is beneficial.

• Familiarity with cloud-native platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform, is a plus.
