Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain tailored software solutions for a prominent public-sector client in Europe.

• Develop software components in accordance with design specifications.

• Conduct system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and resolution activities.

• Execute unit testing for software components.

• Engage in project effort estimation and delivery timeline planning.

• Work collaboratively with team members and communicate with project stakeholders.

• Contribute technical insights into product roadmaps.

• Take part in incident triage, analysis, and prioritization.

• Enhance and support CI/CD processes.

• Create a tax administration system encompassing tax declaration processing, tax calculations, assessments, and integration with external systems.

• Collaborate as part of a project team consisting of over 20 members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in Java development.

• Proficient experience with the Spring Framework and Quarkus.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or other RDBMS.

• Knowledge of REST/SOAP integrations and messaging systems, including Kafka and ActiveMQ.

• Solid understanding of testing principles.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders and remote teams.

• Experience in Angular front-end development is a plus.

• Proficiency in German or Swiss German is a plus.
