This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accountable for tasks related to the delivery of software solutions for customer-defined systems and software projects, collaborating closely with software developers/engineers, stakeholders, and end users within Agile frameworks.
• Designing, developing, and implementing tailored software and database application capabilities for a range of legacy and modernized systems with minimal supervision.
• Functioning as a member of a product team, supporting colleagues and fostering a collaborative attitude to ensure both product and team success.
• Contributing enhancements to the supported product(s).
• Actively engaging in release and sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations, retrospectives, and solution releases.
• Assisting in release planning with conceptual design and the development/refinement of software engineering guidelines.
• Evaluating complex project-related challenges and devising innovative solutions involving scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components.
• Ensuring product quality and timely completion of tasks, offering advice and guidance, resolving issues to achieve objectives, and delivering periodic performance reports.
• Mentoring junior team members.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant technical experience in software design, development, and implementation within Windows and Linux environments.
• Proficient in Java 8 and 11; Familiarity with any of the following: JDBC, Hibernate (or other ORM), JavaScript, XML, JSON, Web-Services (JAX-WS or JAX-RS), JBoss, Eclipse/VSCode, Docker/containerization, Maven, JUnit, and shell scripting.
• Expertise in object-oriented design and development (OODD), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and familiarity with microservices and distributed architectures.
• Ability to communicate OODD and SOA principles and best practices effectively.
• Capable of addressing unusually complex problems and offering solutions that are highly creative and innovative, demonstrating ingenuity and resourcefulness.
• Able to work independently to identify and resolve issues.
• Experience with Git source code control systems and concurrent development workflows.
• Proficient in using SQL or PL/SQL to access Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server databases, with familiarity in NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Knowledgeable in database design and the relational model/schema.
• Ability to apply estimation techniques to software development efforts.
• Working knowledge of and capability to assist others with software engineering tools to enhance process improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong collaboration skills with a desire to work effectively within a team.
• Comprehensive understanding of all elements of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, configuration management, quality assurance, and release management.
• Highly responsible, team-oriented individual possessing a strong work ethic and a self-starter mentality.
• Experience with Hibernate-5, SpringFramework-5, and Telerik.
