Senior Java Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Participate in the transition of existing systems to a Kubernetes-based private cloud.

• Redesign current systems to align with modern architectures.

• Collaborate closely with the software architect to effectively implement both functional and technical requirements.

• Create high-performance backend solutions within the Java ecosystem.

• Integrate various messaging systems and databases.

• Engage in structured refactoring and migration during live operations, with a defined target vision, rather than simply performing ad-hoc feature work.

⛳️ Requirements

• Multiple years of experience with Java (ideally 5+ years).

• Proficiency in Java versions 17–25.

• Familiarity with Jakarta EE (JPA/Hibernate, JMS, REST/Web Services).

• Experience with relational databases, preferably Oracle.

• Knowledge of messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ.

• Skilled in using IntelliJ, Git, Jira, and Confluence.

• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Quarkus, GraalVM, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL.

• Proficient in React & TypeScript, Jenkins + Groovy, and security concepts (certificates, encryption, etc.).

• Ability to work with agile methodologies.

• German language proficiency at the C1 level.
