Senior Backend Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• You will become a member of a Zup development team, contributing to the creation of products and enhancing Itaú's data platform.

• Take the lead in embracing modern development methodologies, seamlessly incorporating AI into your daily tasks to speed up delivery and maintain the quality of the software developed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in backend programming with Python and a solid understanding of Java.

• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming principles and software design.

• Familiarity with databases and operating systems.

• Proven experience in developing APIs and microservices.

• Understanding of event-driven cloud system architectures.

• Knowledge of software testing practices, including testing concepts, TDD, and testing distributed systems that utilize microservices.

• Experience with agile development frameworks (Scrum, SAFe) and AWS services (ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch, S3, SNS, RDS).

• Background in software build processes supported by SCM tools (Git), CI/CD practices, and DevOps methodologies.

• Experience with infrastructure provisioning as code using Terraform.

• Proficiency in development workflows enhanced by Code Agents, including the ability to interact with, guide, and audit autonomous coding agents.

• Capability to design agents, develop tools, and modular functionalities for the secure operation of the codebase.

• Practical experience with Spec-Driven Development (SDD), employing rigorous specifications as the foundation for automated generation.

• Strong comprehension of Intent Development concepts, emphasizing the translation of business intents and architectural guidelines into precise AI instructions, thereby reducing manual code creation.

• Experience with Harness Engineering, creating isolated test environments (scaffolds/simulators) for the validation of autonomous code.
