This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Install, configure, and provide support for the organization's IT infrastructure and cloud solutions.
• Maintain, monitor, and respond to error conditions for IT assets and services, focusing on security, availability, and scalability.
• Analyze IT infrastructure to enhance performance, capacity, and scalability.
• Assess new technologies for company initiatives and budget considerations.
• Collaborate on the design and development of computer systems and network infrastructure.
• Supervise the development, installation, configuration, monitoring, and administration of computer systems and networks.
• Manage project timelines and maintain documentation.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and create effective solutions, including the possibility of 24x7 on-call network and systems support.
• Mentor and train infrastructure and service desk teams on new systems, protocols, and best practices.
• Propel advancements in IT technology, protocols, and best practices.
• Construct and configure server environments and application services using automation tools.
• Serve as an escalation point for IT Support Services, including Office 365, Active Directory, end-user networking, and client applications and processes.
• Develop and update process and procedure documentation, troubleshooting guides, network diagrams, server build standards, data reports/analytics, and operations manuals.
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and MacOS operating systems.
• Experience in administering cloud infrastructure and SaaS applications like Azure or AWS.
• Knowledge in storage administration.
• Proficiency in VMware management, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft products, including Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, IIS, and SharePoint.
• Experience with MDM, SSO, email security, privilege management, or similar tools.
• Competence in database management software such as MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Understanding of system monitoring processes and best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated capability to quickly learn new technologies to a high level of proficiency.
• Comprehension of information security principles and best practices, including network-level and endpoint protection mechanisms.
• Prior experience providing 24x7 mission-critical support.
• Ability to work effectively and professionally within a team setting.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on enhancing customer satisfaction.
• A minimum of 7 years' experience as an IT systems engineer is preferred.
• A bachelor's degree and/or certifications in related fields are preferred.
• Minimal travel required between sites or for training purposes (<10%).
