Senior IT Systems Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee and continually enhance core Microsoft cloud services, such as Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and associated security features.

• Manage identity and access administration, which includes user lifecycle processes, dynamic groups, RBAC, conditional access, MFA, privileged access workflows, and device compliance policies.

• Support and enhance endpoint management for Windows and macOS devices utilizing Intune.

• Maintain and improve Azure networking and VPN connectivity to ensure secure access across both office and remote settings.

• Participate in the administration and ongoing enhancement of security and compliance tools, including Defender, Purview, Sentinel, and related monitoring processes.

• Address L2 and L3 escalated tickets within IT and closely related business support functions.

• Serve as a primary or secondary support contact during incident response activities.

• Assist in audit and compliance processes.

• Develop and maintain runbooks, technical documents, and repeatable operational procedures.

• Identify and execute automation opportunities utilizing tools such as PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and Logic Apps.

• Provide technical support for the Leuven office while also assisting employees in other locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience managing Microsoft cloud environments, encompassing Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and endpoint management.

• Knowledge of identity and access management, including conditional access, MFA, role-based permissions, and lifecycle administration.

• Experience supporting Windows and macOS devices in a corporate setting through modern device management tools.

• Solid understanding of Azure networking, VPN connectivity, and principles of secure access.

• Proficient in troubleshooting complex IT issues and engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Eagerness to enhance operational processes through scripting, automation, or workflow improvements.

• Advanced proficiency in spoken and written English.

• Preferred qualifications: Experience with Microsoft security and compliance tools such as Defender, Purview, or Sentinel; familiarity with Azure DevOps administration; exposure to compliance frameworks like ISO 27001 or SOC 2; Microsoft certifications or similar relevant technical certifications.
