This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Administration of the identity platform (Okta), encompassing SSO, authentication, and access control features.
• Automation of user lifecycle management, including the onboarding and offboarding processes for users, devices, and application access.
• Maintenance of corporate IT infrastructure, which includes networks, servers, firewalls, applications, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Management and configuration of endpoints (Jamf, Intune), focusing on security policy, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
• Enforcing SOX auditing and compliance throughout IT infrastructure processes and procedures.
• Development and expansion of automation within IT operations, utilizing both coding and no-code tools to minimize manual efforts and enhance consistency at scale.
• Identification of opportunities to implement AI and machine learning for reducing operational burdens and enhancing decision-making processes.
• Assessment and adoption of emerging tools and technologies that optimize identity management, endpoint security, and overall IT infrastructure efficiency.
• Creation and maintenance of high-quality technical documentation, including runbooks, SOPs, and end-user guides.
• Collaboration with Security, DevOps, HR, and other teams to pinpoint and execute infrastructure enhancements.
• Support IT leadership with special projects that may involve managing sensitive data, conducting internal investigations, or adhering to strict confidentiality standards.
• An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Demonstrated experience in enterprise-scale implementations of:
• IdP/SSO concepts (SAML/OAuth), provisioning (SCIM/JIT), and platform administration (Okta).
• Administration of MDM platforms (Jamf, Intune).
• A functional understanding of:
• Security principles (least privilege, secure design, data protection).
• Automation with code and no-code tools (Okta Workflows, webhooks, APIs, AWS Lambda/Cloud Functions, Python, Bash/ZSH, PowerShell).
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and version control (Git, GitHub).
• Networking principles, troubleshooting, management, and administration.
• Cloud concepts (IaaS, public cloud) and platform administration.
• Strong verbal and written technical skills, with the ability to generate and sustain high-quality technical documentation.
• Capability to develop a project plan and see it through to completion independently.
• Experience with change management and assisting in defining team processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Exceptional teamwork, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Any of the following are advantageous:
• Experience scaling IT systems and infrastructure during significant organizational growth and transitions (e.g., M&A).
• Proven use of AI tools or AI-assisted methods to address real-world IT and business challenges.
• Experience in implementing compliance controls (e.g., SOX) and security standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
• IT certifications in System Administration, Security, Networking, or related fields.
