This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• The Senior IT Security Engineer is tasked with the planning, deployment, administration, and maintenance of security platforms and technologies to safeguard the organization's IT infrastructure.
• This position requires the independent execution of security initiatives, the coordination of tasks between security and IT teams, and the assurance that systems are optimized and compliant.
• Core responsibilities encompass incident response, risk management, and collaboration aimed at improving the overall security posture.
• Overseeing the deployment, configuration, management, and decommissioning of security tools (e.g., firewalls, SIEM, PAM, ZTN, IdP, IAM, CSPM, DLP, Vulnerability/Exposure Management, CIEM, DevSecOps, and SSDLC, etc.).
• Monitoring and managing enterprise security systems, cloud environments, and SaaS platforms to ensure operational stability, identify vulnerabilities, and address security incidents.
• Offering in-depth technical analysis and support for security incidents.
• Ensuring compliance of the enterprise environment with IT and security policies and standards.
• Facilitating the assessment of new IT and security products and services.
• Delivering summary data, KPIs, metrics, and reports regarding security products and technologies to management.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent training and work experience.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT Security.
• CISSP Certification.
• Proficiency in networking protocols, administration of Windows, and at least one Linux variant, along with security technologies.
• Demonstrated experience with security tools and techniques.
• Solid understanding of security, AWS and Azure cloud services, as well as network design and implementation.
• Proven expertise in data storage and management, including data lakes and warehouses.
• Knowledge of AI workflows and associated threats and risks to AI systems.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including the use of HCL, YAML, or JSON.
• Basic scripting skills in two or more of the following: Powershell, Python, or Go.
• Basic scripting skills in Shell.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities; capable of independently coordinating and conducting meetings with other IT and business teams.
• Must be a results-driven professional with effective verbal and written communication skills, utilizing diplomacy and discretion, alongside customer service skills.
• Ability to create detailed written project plans, identify resource needs, dependencies, and effort levels.
• Capacity to multitask, work independently or as part of a team, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment.
