Senior IT Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Join GDIT as a Senior IT Project Manager and transform technology into opportunity.

• Design, lead, and oversee scheduling and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) practices across a portfolio of IT initiatives.

• Manage the primary IT project schedule utilizing Microsoft Project Server.

• Spearhead the creation and upkeep of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and their corresponding dictionaries.

• Examine scheduling data to identify inter-project impacts, critical paths, resource conflicts, and suggest mitigation strategies.

• Facilitate workshops aimed at WBS development.

• Lead selected complex IT projects from initiation to completion.

• Formulate detailed project plans, manage risks and issues, oversee change control, and ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and quality objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

• Familiarity with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI).

• Expertise in Information Technology Project Management.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Project Server.

• Knowledge of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).

• Compliance with DoD 8140.03 Work Role (802) IT Project Manager - Basic.

• Industry Certifications: PMP and ITIL Foundations (ITIL must be obtained within 3 months of hiring).

• A BS or BA degree, or an equivalent level of applicable experience as specified.
