This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Collaborate closely with client executives and management teams to gain insights into businesses and assist in identifying and managing financial and operational risks within business systems.
• Cultivate a deep understanding of clients’ businesses and industries through direct interactions across various engagement areas.
• Offer recommendations for improvements in business processes based on client operations, processes, and objectives.
• Aid in the implementation of new processes and controls that address key risks.
• Evaluate, manage, and enhance information technology risk across areas such as cybersecurity, IT strategy and governance, regulatory and compliance requirements, and business continuity.
• Review client processes and controls against industry frameworks, identify both design and execution gaps, and communicate issues along with recommendations.
• Assist in the creation of audit programs and carry out internal audits and IT control assessments.
• Prepare executive summaries and final client reports, as well as document and review engagement work papers.
• Foster client relationships and communicate effectively to deliver outstanding client service.
• Conduct professional presentations for both internal and external audiences.
• Develop expertise in technology environments, platforms, applications, and tools/utilities.
• Build and nurture relationships both internally and externally with clients.
• Promote team member development through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in management/computer information systems, computer science, accounting information systems, computer engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in IT audit or cybersecurity.
• Preferred certifications include CISA, CISSP, CISM, or CPA.
• Experience as a PCI QSA serving professional is preferred.
• Experience in a client-serving role for a consulting firm is desired.
• Preferred experience and certifications in cloud auditing.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
