Senior Investment Analyst – Film Funds

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar.

📋 Description

• Create advanced financial models that assess the commercial viability of film and television projects across various distribution channels.

• These models will integrate production budgets, cost frameworks, financing structures, investor positions, distribution revenue sources across global markets, as well as investor return scenarios and capital recovery timelines.

• Revenue modeling will take into account multiple distribution options including theatrical releases, SVOD, AVOD, FAST, Pay TV, and international licensing.

• Utilize Parrot Analytics’ extensive dataset on audience demand and content valuation to enhance revenue projections within financial models.

• Develop systematic methodologies for interpreting audience demand signals and valuation into credible commercial scenarios, benchmarking projects against similar titles across genres, markets, and platforms.

• Assess projects using structured scenario modeling to evaluate downside risk and capital exposure, break-even performance thresholds, and investor return scenarios under varying market conditions.

• Perform sensitivity analyses on key variables including budget modifications, distribution results, and changes in audience demand.

• Generate financial analyses utilized by funds, studios, and investors to assess content opportunities.

• Simplify intricate financial models into straightforward insights that assist decision-makers in understanding the economic ramifications of project budgets, distribution strategies, and market positioning.

• Contribute to the design of financial modeling frameworks used for evaluating film and television investments utilizing Parrot Analytics’ data.

• Aim to create repeatable analytical tools that allow for project evaluations with institutional investment rigor, fostering more structured decision-making throughout the industry.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–10+ years of experience in positions requiring robust financial modeling and investment analysis in the following sectors:

• - film or television investment funds

• - studio finance or content strategy teams

• - media-focused investment banking or private equity

• - entertainment strategy consulting

• - corporate finance roles within media or technology companies

• Proven direct experience in film finance structures, production budgets, or distribution economics is essential.

• Advanced financial modeling skills - Proficient in constructing complex Excel models from the ground up, incorporating scenario analysis, sensitivity modeling, and structured investment return frameworks.

• Investment analysis perspective - Strong capability to assess opportunities through structured risk and return evaluation.

• Data-driven mindset - Comfortable merging external datasets and quantitative signals into financial forecasts and commercial assumptions.

• Intellectual curiosity - A genuine interest in exploring how film and television projects create economic value.

• Communication skills - Ability to convey complex financial analyses into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in Arabic is preferred to serve regional clients.
